Another trio of pieces to showcase tonight, one Bebe and a pair of Tanakes. I usually do these in chronological order because I'm a fussbudget when it comes to stuff like that... but since two of these are by the same artist, I'm grouping them differently.

The first piece shows off my favourite Jedi double-wielding dual sabers! The lighting cast from the saber glow is simply amazing. I also like her expression... like the calm before the storm. Kick-ass stuff.

The other two pieces are by the same artist and I've fallen for how he's portrayed my two girls. Tanake is captured mid-leap with a look of focus on her face, saber drawn. Bebe has a furrowed brow as she skates away from a fallen foe, as evidenced by the blood on her stake and skates. Good stuff all around, simply stellar!

It's been a while since I wrote something proper. I have much to tell from all the way back to the Puffy show when I caught the drumstick at the show... to the present, where I lost the nail-biting auction to have Tanake featured in one of the Dark Horse Star Wars comics. Yeah, it's worth a separate tale.

Everyone cleaned up so nicely in their suits and evening wear. I felt downright metropolitan in my little black dress with knee-high boots, metal multi-stringed choker, and bright red wrap. With a little of my help, B. mustered the courage to speak to Wil Wheaton - a truly nice bloke. We won some auctions, photos to follow soon. I don't want to gloss over anything so I'll be writing again later.

I just wanted to write another journal to feature those three commissions before more time passed but looking at the time, I need to get offline. We have a party to attend tonight over at P's house. It should be fun to hang out, network, and be social.
