GermanCityGirl's Art SpotlightThere are four pieces to spotlight this time, a mixture of new faces and familiar ones.
First here's another version of my other Jedi character, Aldri Yevka. I simply love her body and expression. This artist does
amazing things with the female form.

Next is some fan art of Bebe in action! I like how energetic she looks and how she's ready for action!

Meet Jacinda Esparreth, my
best friend's Jedi character.

Here's a lovely vector piece with Tanake and her brother Sedaris. I love their expressions and the colours.

GermanCityGirl's Thoughts
I don't know why I've been so lazy to write a journal. I take that back. I know
exactly why! I haven't felt like formatting things and looking up dates to be precise. It seems though that with a sub, you can just install a CSS skin onto your journal entry as I've done here. I'm testing it out... it's a bit pink for my tastes but I like the little figure. I opted to remove the thumbnails of Tanake/Bebe artwork. Now to try to figure out how to just link the favourite collections at the bottom so the journal isn't a mile long.
So enough stalling, on with the journal!
Since my last posting in February, our calendar has been pretty busy.
In February, we saw
Strunz & Farah at
Jazz Alley and
David Byrne at
Benaroya Hall.
In March,
Cinematic Titanic came to the
King Cat Theatre and GC's mum came to visit.
April was birthday month and it was celebrated in a grand fashion. There was
Joshua Redman at
Jazz Alley,
Franz Ferdinand at the
, Carrie Fisher at the
Seattle Rep,
David Sedaris at
Benaroya Hall, and some old school D&D gaming.
Here we are in May and it's nearly over! We went to see the
Flight of the Conchords at the
Paramount Theatre,
The American String Project at
Benaroya Hall,
Seattle Kokon Taiko at
Town Hall,
Booker T. at
The Triple Door and also
The Yoshida Brothers at the
Triple Door.
There's still
Dwight Yoakum,
Neko Case,
Sergey Vashchenko, Anatoliy Yegorov + Vladimir Ivanov,
Musica Curiosa,
The Ditty Bops,
Depeche Mode,
Béla Fleck performing with
Toumani Diabate and the end to the summer...
PAX.
Whew. See what I mean? We have been/will be busy!
Yesterday I joined the YMCA to make use of their gorgeous cardio centre and pool. Some time this week, GC will get his bike tuned up in preparations for his meandering bike rides through Seattle. It was finally time to stop
wishing that we were healthier and time to just act! It felt good too. I know the first few times I drag my sorry arse down there, it won't feel good but in time, it will. This is my mantra and I'm sticking to it.
Tonight will be a continuation of our lazy day at home. All of the laundry was done earlier (yay me!) though I haven't folded any of it (boo!). Our pot roast is happily cooking in the oven whilst potatoes bubble away on the stove top. GC will make his favourite salad of red leaf lettuce + raspberry vinaigrette with glazed walnuts, Gorgonzola crumbles, and dried cranberries. The house smells wonderful right now... mmm, tasty.
Tomorrow night, a passel of us are headed to downtown for a groovy little event called
Muppet History 101 with Craig Shemin and their rarely-seen pilot for The Muppet ShowThe Muppets: Sex and Violence! There will be late night Chinese food. I can't wait.
How about you guys, what's new? Any plans for the summer?
Congratulations
I like the way you imagine your characters. It's great ^^
But everything is quite expensive, so I appreciate the effort and money you're putting into this... I would do the same, IF I had the money
